City Supports Jatinegara Betawi Fun Event

Jakarta Provincial Government is supporting the Jatinegara Betawi Fun Event this year at ex-building of Kodim 0505, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, which falls on October 25-28, 2017.

We play to facilitate role and are ready to collaborate to support the sustainability of the event

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno assessed, the event held by Betawi Awakening Movement (Gerbang) that cooperates with Jakarta Tourisindo can make Betawi culture as the backbone of the rise of tourism in Jakarta.

"The point is how we improve and optimize Betawi cultural centers that had become champions and not yet raised again," he stated, Wednesday (10/25).

Commission E Noted on Four Points to Preserve Betawi Culture

He assessed, a partnership between the government and the people will be a model of the development of local wisdom in the future.

"We play to facilitate role and are ready to collaborate to support the sustainability of the event," he expressed.

Later on his party will coordinate with the ranks of related SKPD/UKPD in providing the necessary facilities and infrastructure.

"There is a need such as the provision of ambulances, mobile toilets, and other matters relating to Jakarta Tourism and Culture Dept.," he expressed.

Meanwhile, Jatinegara Betawi Fun Event Committee Chairperson, Sylviana Murni added, it will be enlivened with music, short story competition, singing contest, movie theater, painting exhibition, martial arts attraction, and 3D Mapping Performance themed "Betawi Dulu, Sekarang and Mendatang".

"Gerbang is willing to assist the city which is committed to develop the existing culture, arise to develop but the icon remains Betawi," he uttered.
